Jemile Weeks tripled in three runs in the second and Matt Carson hit a solo homer in the third to help lead Sacramento to the win. Adrian Cardenas also had three hits and scored twice. Josh Outman and three relievers limited Tacoma to just three hits.

David Cooper's first Triple-A homer helped give Las Vegas an early 4-0 lead but the River Cats chipped away and led 5-4 before the 51s benefited from a 9th-inning error and a 2-run double by Brett Lawrie to go ahead for good. Adrian Cardenas & Jai Miller both had two hits, a double and two runs for Sacramento while Miller & Jemile Weeks stole two bases each. Josh Outman only lasted 2 innings for the River Cats.

Tucson was led by Anthony Rizzo's 2-run homer to go with a pair of singles, while Matt Clark added a double and two singles of his own to back 5 shaky innings by pitcher Simon Castro. Sacramento's Guillermo Moscoso had his first poor outing of the season, failing to get through the 5th. Matt Carson doubled and was the only River Cat with two hits.

He had 2 RBI on the night while Eric Sogard & Shane Peterson both had three hits to back solid pitching by Yadel Marti, Willie Eyre & Joey Devine. Aaron Cunningham was responsible for Tucson's only runs with a 2-run homer. Jeremy Hefner tossed 5 shutout innings for the Padres.

Steve Tolleson homered, Jemile Weeks, Michael Taylor, Josh Donaldson & Wes Timmons had 2 hits apiece while Donaldson, Tolleson, Timmons & Matt Carson each had 2 RBI. Bryan Petersen collected 3 hits for the Zephyrs while Ruben Gotay homered and drove in a pair. It was a game for the bullpens and Trystan Magnuson picked up the win for the River Cats. Andrew Bailey made an injury rehab appearance as well.

Mark Ellis, also in an injury rehab appearance, had 2 hits and doubled in the tying run in the 8th while Chris Carter had 2 hits including a triple. Tyler LaTorre accounted for Fresno's runs with a 2-run homer and Shane Loux pitched 8 strong innings in a no decision.

Colin Cowgill drove in the winning run for Reno in Game 1 with a 2-out single in the top of the 7th, while Kevin Kouzmanoff's walkoff homer in the bottom of the 7th in Game 2 gave Sacramento the split. For the River Cats, Andy LaRoche combined for 3 hits, Adrian Cardenas was a homer short of the cycle in Game 2, Jai Miller homered in Game 2 & Josh Donaldson doubled twice in Game 1. Robby Hammock hit a home run in Game 2, combining for 3 hits and 4 RBI in both games for Reno while Wade Miley struck out 12 in 5.1 innings in Game 1. Sacramento wore pink jerseys in Game 2 for Susan G. Komen Swing for the Cure Night.
