From Raley Field in Sacramento. The Rainiers won, 2-1, in 10 innings. Both starting pitchers were solid, with Tacoma's Forrest Snow throwing 6 IP with 3 H, 1 R, 2 BB and 8 SO while Sacramento's Brad Peacock went 7 IP with 5 H, 1 R, 2 BB and 3 BB. Michael Taylor's solo homer in the 2nd accounted for the only River Cats run while the Rainiers tied it in the 7th on a wild pitch before going ahead on a Trayvon Robinson sacrifice fly in the 10th. Chih-Hsien Chiang had 3 hits for Tacoma and Brandon Moss 2 for Sacramento, both doubling once.

Chris Carter and Adam Rosales both collected a pair of hits, including a double for each as Travis Banwart earned the win with a line of 6 IP, 6 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 0 BB and 2 SO. Matt McBride had 3 hits for the Sky Sox, including a home run, while Brandon Wood doubled twice and Dallas Tarleton singled in his first two at-bats at the Triple-A level. Tyler Chatwood, who left early due to an injury, took the loss.

Grant Green was 2-for-2 with 2 walks and 3 RBI while Adam Rosales had 3 RBI of his own to lead the Sacramento offense, while Bruce Billings only allowed a 2-run homer to Anthony Rizzo in the first. He went 6 IP, 3 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 2 BB and 6 SO. Rizzo was the only Iowa batter with a multi-hit game with 3, finishing a double short of the cycle. Alfredo Amezega also hit a 2-run homer while Randy Wells only went 5 IP, 8 H, 7 R, 7 ER, 3 BB and 6 SO.

Reno was led by Randy Ruiz (4-for-5, HR, 2 RBI) and Ryan Wheeler (3-for-5, 2B, HR, 3 RBI) along with a decent performance by Trevor Bauer (6 IP, 6 H, 2 ER, 4 BB, 8 SO). Four relief pitchers combined to allow 1 H in 3 IP, and the River Cats struck out 14 times on the day. Manny Ramirez (2-for-4) singled in a run and Chris Carter (2-for-3, BB) doubled in another in the 3rd for Sacramento's only runs. Fabio Castro didn't make it out of the 2nd (1.2 IP, 6 H, 5 ER, 1 BB, 0 SO) and five River Cats pitchers allowed a total of 17 hits, with Adam Eaton, Jake Elmore, A.J. Pollock and Cole Gillespie all picking up 2 each for the Aces. Yoenis Cespedes went 1-for-3 in his first injury rehab appearance for Sacramento.

From Raley Field in Sacramento. The River Cats won, 4-2. Brandon Hicks hit a walkoff 2-run homer in the bottom of the 9th to give Sacramento the victory. Anthony Recker and Stephen Parker (both 3-for-4) carried the offense and Yoenis Cespedes officially went 2-for-4 (he also lined a double but was called out on an appeal for not touching first base, though replays disagreed) to back a decent performance from A.J. Griffin (5.1 IP, 5 H, 2 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 5 SO). Sean Doolittle recorded 5 outs and 4 of them were by strikeout. Nick Noonan was 2-for-4 for Fresno while Charlie Culberson and Juan Ciriaco both drove in a run. Eric Hacker worked 6 IP, 6 H, 2 ER, 2 BB, 4 SO.

Eric Sogard (2-for-4) had a 2-run single in the 5th to break a tie and make the difference for Sacramento after Grant Green doubled in a run prior to that. Travis Banwart (7 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 2 BB, 4 SO) kept Fresno from getting much going, then Erick Threets and Evan Scribner finished with an inning apiece. Justin Christian singled twice for the Grizzlies, who didn't get much out of starter Shawn Sanford (4 IP, 4 H, 3 ER, 5 BB, 2 SO), who faced five batters in that 5th inning without recording an out.

From Raley Field in Sacramento. The Rainiers won, 6-4. After Grant Green tied it for Sacramento in the bottom of the 8th, Luis Rodriguez blooped in a 2-run single with 2 out in the top of the 9th. The River Cats loaded the bases in their last half inning but failed to score. Mike Wilson hit an early 3-run homer and Trayvon Robinson collected 3 hits and 2 doubles for Tacoma but Sacramento chipped away at Andrew Carraway (5.2 IP, 6 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 4 BB, 3 SO) to keep it close. Brandon Hicks homered and he, Michael Taylor & Wes Timmons each had a pair of hits in support of Travis Banwart (5.2 IP, 4 H, 4 R, 3 ER, 3 BB, 5 SO). In what would be his last game in the A's organization, Manny Ramirez went 1-for-3 with an RBI single, 2 BB & 2 SO.

In a game that set records for Sacramento in length in innings and time (5:32), Tacoma position player Scott Savastano both pitched and hit a walkoff home run. Prior to that, Dan Straily took a 1-hit shutout into the 9th before being removed after a leadoff double that came around to score. His line was 8 IP, 2 H, 1 ER, 2 BB, 8 SO and he was matched up in a great duel with Danny Hultzen who went 6 IP, 3 H, 1 ER, 2 BB, 8 SO. Jermaine Mitchell's homer in the 6th was the only run of the game for the River Cats.
For Sacramento, Grant Green went 3-for-7, Josh Donaldson was 1-for-5 with a 2B and 3 BB, Eric Sogard & Collin Cowgill both went 2-for-8 & Michael Taylor had a rough 0-for-8 with 4 SO. On Tacoma's side, Mike Carp was the only one with a multi-hit game, 2-for-4 with a 2B and sacrifice fly. Darren Ford was 1-for-6 with a 2B and 2 BB & Luis Rodriguez was 1-for-4 with 3 BB, but Nick Franklin, Luis Antonio Jimenez, Mike Wilson, Trayvon Robinson, Vinnie Catricala & Brandon Bantz combined to go 0-for-34 with 17 SO.
